Staff of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body recorded violations of air-protection legislation in the Shirak and Kotayk regions.

In the Bavra village area of Shirak, a concrete plant was operated for the construction of an educational complex by “ALSI” LLC, a company engaged in freight transport, retail trade and construction, without a permit to emit harmful substances from stationary sources into the atmosphere. In the Kanakeravan village area of Kotayk, “MAN BET” LLC, which produces concrete, also operated a concrete plant without the same permit.

By decisions of the heads of the Inspection Body’s territorial departments, the illegal operation of both plants has been suspended. The significant damage resulting from the economic activity was calculated at a total of 743,074 drams, and administrative fines totaling 980,000 drams were imposed on the companies’ directors.
